Wording for a 30th Birthday Invitation?

I am doing some nice invitations for my 30th Birthday. It will be a garden party/ BBQ at home from 2pm onwards. I want the wording to be simple and informative but flow and look nice. Help! What the layout should be? Should I have myself in 1st/ 3rd person? These will be on a postcard design rather than a folded card. Any examples would be greatly appriciated

Wording for a 30th Birthday Invitation?
I would put it something like this:

It is MY Birthday.

Come to (address) for a BBQ and bring your smiles and happy thoughts.

Reply:There is still life after 30, so I hope you will come to my birthday bash and BBQ
Reply:Happy 30th Birthday Dude!
Reply:"Come to my birthday, I'm 30! Oh and bring some booze".

That ought to have them queueing up at your front door
Reply:Come to my piss up!!
Reply:Oh have it in 1st person.

Makes it look straightforward, unless someone else is doing it for you.

But I do like the idea of your photo as a child or teen, saying this ... is turning 30.

Then say time, place, theme and all.

Reply:Since your party will be an informal one, I would suggest you refrain from referring to yourself in 3rd person. The formal writing style doesn't match your bbq. It would suffice to write something simple like " Dear Jane, you are invited to my birthday bbq on friday, april 13th, at 2pm. Softdrinks, and bbq will be served poolside, feel free to bring your own alcohol, mixers will be provided. I look forward to seeing you there. Please RSVP at 555 555 5555, and remember, NO GIFTS, it is simply wonderful to have fun with my friends.

warmly,

Brandi
Reply:I would think that you would put it in the third person, such as: Come and help celebrate Mon's 30th birthday. Then go ahead and list the time, place and what type of party it will be. If you want RSVP, then put RSVP to Mon at (insert email, or phone number).
Reply:flirty at thirty. come and taste the forbidden fruit of the garden.
Reply:*happy birthday,how about,

Reply:Remember to add "BYOW" (Bring Your Own Wheelchairs)
Reply:I'm having a party...

I'm going to be 30...

We're going to have bbq...

We're going to have cake...

You are invited to come at 2 p.m...

You may leave when you are tired.

Friends, Neighbors, Countrymen, lend me your time.

I'm having a party on the occasion of my 30th birthday!

Please come and to enjoy bbq and cake in my garden.

Festivities will begin at 2 p.m. and will continue until we are bored and everyone goes home.
Reply:Put it on Myspace and say that your mum and dad are going away.... guaranteed loads of guests!

Sorry, couldn't resist that. I think you should definitely put it in the first person as it sounds a bit pretentious otherwise for the type of party you are planning.
Reply:Please join me in celebrating my 30th birthday with a BBQ. Events will be held at my place starting at 2pm, bring your appetite!

and just put cutsie bbq pictures on the card.....an apron, a spatula....etc
