i am working in california Garden Grove and i do all kinda designs as textiles designs to packaging and adds . how much is fare for me as salary or hourly paycheck. I think they don't pay me enough.

freelance is good, because you set the hourly rate. corporate, not so much.
Reply:if you're getting an hourly rate then you're being paid too little. average for your field in your state should be anywhere from 42k-55k. median is around 45-47k. check salary.com for more info.
Reply:I have a friend who does free lance graphic design. you know websites, business cards, posters for plays and such. He has about 6 years experience and a bachelors degree from Otis school of design. He's able to charge between 5 and 10 thousand for each website he does. He charges a pretty penny for the business cards and posters as well. He does have a go get'em attitude so he's never 'not working' which is a big problem when you freelance. He did work with a newspaper when he first started and the paid him about 2,000 a month though. Hope this helps.
