Did GOD create man to eat only vegan ?

It was only after GOD cast mankind out of the Garden of Eden that man began to eat meat.

This tells me that the human body was in fact perfectly designed TO DO WITHOUT MEAT.

What sayest thou ?

Did GOD create man to eat only vegan ?
There was no eating of flesh by man or beast before the fall, and all lived in harmony, or "Paradise". The first shedding of blood was when our Creator had to show that the price of sin was the shedding of blood, and that is what covered Adam and Eve after the fall, not the leaves they futilely sought refuge behind to cover their loss of innocence. When He comes again, the lion will lay down with the lamb, an indication to me that we will be restored to our prefall diet. Vegetarian vs vegan could be a little more difficult, but hens lay unfertilized eggs which would not ever be another chicken. Cows, goats, camels and other mammals whose milk humans commonly use, once having been bred, will continue to give milk, if "milked" long after their young are weaned. Having referred to the land of His children as the "land of milk and honey," I can only assume that milk and eggs in and of themselves were not nor will be forbidden. The vision was given to the Apostle Peter to declare all meats clean, which tells me in our fallen state, meat and fish are acceptable. Never the less, the more we discover about these wonderously created bodies, the more we realize how much healthier we would be with less, or even no meat in our diets. We shall see what He serves at the Marriage Supper of the Lamb. It is written that the redeemed shall eat of the Tree of Life.
Reply:See... this brings on the touchy subject OF religion.

Many people will argue that the Bible says that man is made for meat, others say that man is made for a strict vegan diet.

When Adam and Eve were in the Garden Of Eden, I doubt God said, "these are all the fruits and veggies, but... you know, kill some cow, and... have some steak!"

It would be a sound assumption to conclude man and women were created to consume food off their land.

You make a point, after Adam and Eve were cast out... they ate meat for survival. Animals should ONLY consume other animals strictly for survival. Those animals hunt and kill their own prey. Humans are made for a vegan diet. If we were made to eat meat, than we would hunt and kill our own food. Not have FACTORIES do it for us.

I'll be typing for hours... so I'll just stop there.
Reply:Yes, we were designed to eat a vegan diet, but God also gives our bodies the ability to eat meat, fish, dairy and eggs as a means of survival. God also created our bodies to be temples in His image, and we must treat them as such. We must also treat His creation, the earth and animals, with as much respect as we can. I believe we should strive to eat a vegan diet as much as possible and only put the things God has told us are clean to eat into our bodies.
Reply:Shhotsamshoot, that was very well said.
Reply:I dont think we were designed to eat meat. Think about it, if we were, we would posses the skills and tools to hunt down prey, and eat it in its raw form. Our two tiny incisor teeth are clearly not meant to rip flesh off the bone. Most of our teeth are flat, like other vegetarian creatures. Our bodies are perfectly designed for gardening, with an imposable thumb just perfect for picking fruits and vegetables. Either way, being a veggie works for me. Nothing needs to bleed and die just so I can stuff my face. That, sayeth, I, lol
Reply:Man was designed to eat veggies in the beginning, but later, then meat was allowed, and commanded at festivals. So even though man WAS designed that way, there must have been a reason to include a meat diet.
Reply:Sorry to say this religion is a concept of Rules with a little bit of the fear of death thrown in oh and control and lets be fair good Rules to live life by and nothing more!!

I can not dispute there actually may be a God or they may not I will let you know when I am dead. But this is an argument I am not prepared to kill over like some others choose to do in this world because what is after death is unknown. Evolutions is a fact with perhaps a little Divine/greater intelligence involvement and this is where the world is to day. I am a God fearing person for want of a better word just the same as I fear Death.. but one thing i know is that to use religion as the base of an argument makes that argument invalid and pointless as NO ONE ON EARTH knowns the answer to death..

I say the human body is perfectly designed to survive and can eat anything to keep living just as any starving creature would to survive
Reply:I believe so. One of the dead sea scrolls has jesus teaching water fasting(with enemas) raw food lacto-vegetarianism to sickly outcasts as way of self-healing and acheiving closeness with God.
Reply:good point. death didn't even exist until after adam %26amp; eve took that first bite. i truly believe God would not want us to eat other living creatures (and no, fruits and vegetables don't qualify in that category) when He gave us plenty of earth-based items to eat.

i agree that our bodies are designed to live off a plant-based diet, although the bible does mention that Jesus ate fish. contrary to many omnivores' objections, our teeth are NOTHING like (not even close!) to a true carnivore's teeth. our digetive tract is also unable to handle the digestion of animal flesh and its products. our intestines are long and have many crevices, while a carnivore's is short and smooth.

lastly, the only place where God specifically gave us directions for food lies in Genesis 1:29: Then God said, "I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food." (NIV)
Reply:What denomination is this now?
Reply:no !!! i am a doc , there are two kinds of teeth , sets i mean one is carnivorous ,those which can eat meat easily and one is herbbivorous like sheeps , goats , which are made in a fashion that can only eat hearbs veg that is , and God gave us a carnivorous set so that we can eat meat easily , and why deprive ourselves of course too much of everything is bad , plus our digestive system , is perfectly made to be able to digest it too !!! c ! while animals who can;t digest it don't eat it ! we can , we are made so !!!
Reply:It depends on who wrote the book.

If a butcher wrote it, it would say - eat meat seven days a week and twice on Sunday.

The bible is just a collection of stories based on a middle eastern man who tried to do some good over 2000 years ago. That is all - if you wish to use it as a guidebook for your life - go right ahead.
Reply:I doubt it, Jesus ate fish.
Reply:God is imaginary. Man is omnivorous. We are able to adapt to the foods available in any given environment. Eskimos survive on animal protein only, because you can't grow fruits, vegetables and grains in ice and snow. And some indigenous tribes in South America and Africa are vegetarian. In modern society it is a choice people make based on personal beliefs.
Reply:meat and fish wouldn't taste so good if we weren't supposed to eat it
Reply:i think that ur getting way 2 involved in this. eat what u want 2 eat. after all, God took animal skins and clothed Adam and Eve after they sinned.

Hope i Helped!
