DIY: How do I fit these ladder hooks in to interior brick in my garage?

I bought some "ladder hooks". They will probably be delivered to me in a few days. Pack of 5 which are designed to hold up ladders against the wall... say in the garage.

I intend to use mine to hold up some wooden garden chairs which fold.. like 2 hooks parallel on the wall, hopefully to fit and support the weight of 2 chairs on the hooks.

Problem 1: Garage is brick. I've fully used the upper layer of timber for other storage hooks... but I've never attempted drilling in to brick.

Problem 2: I've only experienced storage hooks of the type which have 1 or 2 holes in them. There all I did was add a supporting wooden baton to the timber in garage.. then secured the hooks in to the baton with screws.

The ladder hooks have no hole for screws, but the screw itself seems part of the hook?

How to best fit these pls ?

Thx.

Hi

To fit these hooks do the following

1. Measure the length of what you would like to hang (whilst folded)

2. mark wall at height of measurement taken + the height you want it off floor on the wall

3. Drill as many holes as you have brackets, equally spaced in the wall with approximately 10mm Dia (masonary bit) 0r as manufacturers reccommendation.

4.Tap appropriate plugs in holes with a hammer (usually colour coded grey for 10mm)

5. Screw the hooks into the plugs, ensure all thread is in wall.

6. Hang items carefully to check weight is ok for hooks.
Reply:get a carbide/masonry drill bit the size of the hook, drill it out and use anchors or dual tube hardeners and slam the hooks in the hole.

your hdwr store personnel will show you how to do it and what sizes to use for your hooks.
Reply:for brick you will need a masonry bit
Reply:Masonary drill bit, and rawl plugs.

head to B %26amp; Q. You can buy "kits"
Reply:you go to the hardware store and ask. they should have a drill bit for concete and brick you use then use concete screws. Or why didn't you just hang stuff from the ceiling? I used the ceiling lots of times to hang stuff along the walls
Reply:Hammer drill and some wall plugs - they are easy to fit - just wait until they arrive and find out the size of the thread - drill a hole that size and stick a wall plug in - then screw the bracket into the wall plug - don't drill the hole to deep - just a tiny bit longer than the thread on the bracket
