Help me please 10 pts!!!?
A bell pepper is taller. An eggplant will vine out, while the bell pepper will be a bushy type plant.
Reply:bell pepper plant could reach 4' tall by 3' wide or larger, so space your container to give your plant(s) plenty of room

4"-6" Tall, eggplant. Some eggplant cultivars can reach a height of 4.5 feet. Eggplants have a deep taproot, which helps them tolerate dry weather. Flowers are open for two to three days and are self-pollinated. However, bees may improve both pollination and yield of eggplant. Fruits vary in size and shape, from round to bell-shaped, oval or elongated. Oriental or Japanese eggplant cultivars have elongated fruit. The fruit surface of eggplant is smooth and glossy. Fruit color can be yellow, green, white, purple, black, violet or various combinations of these colors
Reply:Eggplant

It grows 40 to 150 cm (16 to 57 in) tall, with large coarsely lobed leaves that are 10 to 20 cm (4-8 in) long and 5 to 10 cm (2-4 in) broad. (Semi-)wild types can grow much larger, to 225 cm (7 ft) with large leaves over 30 cm (12 in) long and 15 cm (6 in) broad

I haven't found these dimensions with green bell peppper %26amp; I grow them.
Reply:you cant know which plant will be bigger unless you know which one of the plants you are going to buy,in both plants there are a lot of different types,it is which one you choose to put where, nowadays there are dwarf types in both of these plants, which means that they grow from 1 ft to 1 11/2 ft,the regular plants in both of theese plants grow up to almost 4 ft in height and has a couple branches well ...so in your design you could use dwarf and regular plants, just make up your mind which you going to put where...
Reply:The bell pepper plant grows taller. An eggplant usually sticks closer to the ground because eggplants are heavier.
Reply:i eat eggplant, even tho i'm forced, and i say eggpklant is taller
Reply:That depends on the type of eggplant plant-they can grow from 20"high to about 4'.
Reply:eggplant
Reply:An Egg plant is a vine that climbs things.

Bell peppers grow kinda like tomatos..a medium sized bush
Reply:It all depends on the age and brand/type of plant
Reply:eggplant plants grow from 1-3 feet tall, which is taller than a bell pepper plant.
Reply:eggplant is taller in length. bell pepper in width

Have a choice to have your own home designed and build, what style would you choose?

Whould you like a classic straight lined home painted white with glass and silver;

Mexican style with a large fireplace and lots of oragne colours;

Double story house (mansion) with an indoor swimming pool and garden;

Garden Cottage with a nice vegatable garden and a fish pond?

Come on let us dream for dream can become true.

Enjoy the week-end

I once drafted the "home of the future" for a science fair. Unfortunately, I was too young, it was not my field of interest at the time, and I got a B. However, I long to revisit the idea, and one day, build (have built?) and live in that house.

Since all the things mentioned, and so many more, appeal to me in some way, I'm inclined to think I would like a large property with an eclectic landscape. The home should probably then take place around that. The colors, materials for the climate, etc. - all would be a function of location.

The building itself would take a lot of thought. I would like the amenities of the "futuristic" home, but really long to live in a stone castle. So, I combine the two concepts, throw in a splash of Japanese gardening, a Greek pillar or two - and viola.
Reply:On one hand, I just LOVE the Mexican theme, but on the other, a little Garden Cottage is just sooooo cute! Yeah, we can dream!
Reply:The design of a home should be based on your current and future needs in a home. Think several years ahead(family size, family gatherings, pets, etc.) Think also of the things that you want to do daily. If you're the kind of person that likes to change things, pick a design that allows you to do that easily.

Remember that you have to look it it every day.
Reply:I have to say Mexican style it just seems nicer and roomie with the coart yard and all.
Reply:I would go with something post-industrial. In anticapation of peak oil and rolling blackouts, I would make it functional off grid. Include a private source of water and on site gardens.

Could we afford to buy land for £16,000 and build a posh property on it?

We're a small family, all with average wages. I myself am a full time student who also works part time at a call centre, my mum is a supermarket supervisor and her fiancĂ© runs his own landscape gardening business. My grandfather is also a builder. We have been offered a several acre piece of land by a farmer in a fantastic area where large, expensive houses tend to be built, for £16,000. It seems an absolute bargain.

This is a new venture for us, and we're unsure of whether to go for it, how much it would cost us, if we could afford it, and what we would need to do.

Can anyone advise us if we could afford to create this project, based on our typical family wages. We could design, and possibly build a house without too much bother based on experience. But is this project worthy? What would be the process?

Hope you can help us! Thanks!

not possible to give you sound advice without more facts sorry

regards x kitti x
Reply:You have to make sure that the farmer is not trying to dupe you.

Does the land come with planning permission? has planning permission already been declined?

Is the ground contaminated or need work?

For a small plot of land with planning permission in town would be at least £80,0000

Have a land survey carried out
Reply:I'd have to agree with Paul S. It doesn't mean because there is developments locally this particlar land has planning permission on it.

It could be classed as agricultural land. That comes a lot cheaper but as far as I know you will not get planning permission to build a house on it.
Reply:I don't know, but I love the way ya'll talk!! Really, real estate investing is risky and you really need to know what you are doing to avoid catastrophic losses. The fact that you are asking this question tells me that you probably need to investigate and get educated much more than you have. "Bargains" are tempting, but not worth the risk of losing your shirt because of ignorance. I don't know about the UK, but generally speaking in the US, the larger the house, the slower the market. While you might make more money per sale, it takes a lot longer to sell due to a much smaller pool of potential buyers. If you're truly interested in real estate investments, I'd start small and test the water and your talent. One more thing, absolute bargains rarely are. Do you know why the price is low? Have you checked out building and zoning codes, easments, contamination, etc.? There's nothing like buying a property and finding out later it can't be built on. I don't mean to sound discouraging, but I do want you to have the best chance of success in whatever you decide. good luck, peace
Reply:Are in you in UK? Then you need to ask why he's selling several acres for only £16,000, this seems ludicriously cheap. I know where we live in N Ireland 1/4 acre with full planning permission was sold recently for £225k. You need to find out if there is planning permission or is it zoned for building. Try and get an architect to give advice and maybe also a solicitor. If this land is farming land with no chance of ever getting permission to build then that would be about the right price.
Reply:In England?

Are you sure??

Check it out. Get a lawyer to check it. That is TOO cheap.
Reply:If in Uk the first thing to check is if you could get planning permission to build on it...if not...such as on green belt land or other restrictions, then all you are buying is a field...surely as a builder your Grandfather should know this....have a word with the local planning dept. first before you agree to anything.

Any one has a ready designed lessons for annuals and gardening?
Here's several different lesson plans: They can be adjusted for higher grade levels. You can take a tour of a greenhouse (instead of the Botanical gardens) to see different stages of growth of seedlings %26amp; discuss conditions needed for growth. http://www.huntington.org/Education/less...

    Reply:Hi:

I am a landscaper and designer. I do hand drawn designs as many of my clients like to see some shape and colors. I am not an artist but my goal is to be simple and allow my clients to try and visualize my suggestions. I also provide a design key for them. I will link you to the examples of landscape designs in my website. I have done 2D and 3D designs, but many of the clients like a more simple version.

I will also link you to the site map, as this page has everything that is on the website. Browse through and see if you can find any other information that may help you. I will also link you to the learning center section, as this is an educational section on plants, landscape and different possible lesson plans. I hope some of this has helped and good luck to you! Have a great day!

    My boyfriends mum......?

She is a lovely woman and has never treated me with anything but respect and kindness BUT (why is there always a but) she treats her family like dirt. She never goes out, she claims she has no friends but she has had friends in the past and pushed them away. She refuses to let her husband go out-even to family events. She restricts her 3 sons social lives (I'm with the eldest who is 18, the other two are 15 and 13). She doesnt work but is doing a garden design course and her husbands pay is not wonderful and they are struggling. Yet she will spend all the money on herself, plants, a new kitchen, new clothes. This is when sometimes they haven't enough money to buy food-and I'm serious on that.

My question is-what should i do? i love my boyfriend and i hate seeing him so hurt by her. And i love his family too and i hate myself for getting angry at his mum. some advice please.

    My boyfriends mum......?
Well all you can do is be supportive to his feelings, and wishes. If you can take him out, do diferent things with him so he can get away from the house that would, and will b great. In the case of mom, you can voice your opinion, but all it will do is put your bf in the middle choosing you, or his moms and you don't want that sweetie. Just be supportive of him, and his wishes. It will pay off at the end.
Reply:Just be there to support your b/f. There is not much you can do other than perhaps encourage him to speak to his mother. It would seem very rude of to them I'm sure, if you spoke up about personal family matters even though it is affecting your life. It is a difficult situation, but you can really only confront her on the actions she did which would directly effect you. You can't speak up for anyone else if they refuse to do so.
Reply:she has to want things to change herself. seems like she runs the show around there. her husband needs to step up as the other adult in the family and maybe the 18 year old could say something to help out. but without any of this happening, things will continue to be the same way.....always.
Reply:There is nothing that you really can do. Unfortunately, it's not your place to say anything to her or try and change her.

The Person Who Designed The Wheelie Bin Is An ****?

Why make a bin which is about half the size on the bottom as it is at the top ? the damn thing just wants to fall over anyway. So with the gales around the things are rolling around all over the place and my garden is full of all the crap thats come out of them.

The Person Who Designed The Wheelie Bin Is An ****?
Doesn't yours have a locking catch thing on the lid? Mine does. It stops things falling out when it falls over, and stops the local cats and foxes trying to get in.
